Crowning Glories
Royal events inspire composers to glorious heights. In Mozart’s Coronation Mass that means high-energy choruses, gorgeous melodies, and resounding brass fanfares that invite nobility in each of us. The chorus will also sing Taverner’s “Song for Athene,” made famous in another kind of royal event, Princess Diana’s funeral. >>more
